WORK LOFTS
319 Carlaw Ave.

Toronto’s Film District will proudly host the most anticipated premier of the season and it will change your life. We’re not talking movies here, but rather a new development called Work lofts located at 319 Carlaw Ave.
You’ll want to check out the grand opening of Work lofts, which will introduce you to a different way of life that combines the personal and the professional in a unique blend of commercial and residential spaces wrapped up in a stunning package designed by Core Architects.
One-bedroom, one-bedroom-plus-den and two-bedroom suites range in size from about 500 sq. ft. all the way up to a spectacular three-bedroom rooftop penthouse offering 2,283 sq. ft. of interior living space with a spectacular 4,200-sq.-ft. terrace.
“We have commercial studios that we’re selling on the first and second floor, and then from the third floor to the ninth floor, we have live/work lofts,” says “Condo King” Brad Lamb, President and CEO of Lamb Development Corporation, the developer behind the Worklofts project.
“It’s contemporary,” adds Lamb. “The finishes are extremely high-end for the market place.” The GE stainless steel appliances and gas stoves, double Caesar Stone counters, Scavolini high-gloss kitchens, “all the finishes here are better than anyone else is doing on this level of building,” he says. “We’re really making an effort to make this a stylish place to be.”
On top of that (literally “on top”) the building’s Green roof is another notable feature of the Worklofts project. “Instead of looking down at a black tar-and-gravel membrane, which absorbs a lot of heat in the summer causing heat island effect (you know when you go downtown and it feels twice as hot on a July day), a Green roof is growing,” says Gane. “It doesn’t absorb and reflect heat like a black tar roof. It actually cools the building and holds rainwater. And it’s much nicer to look at to.”
